View Full Version : WGC 2006: IGC display via GPC Visualizer

Hi, I just want to use this forum to thank Adam Schneider, the guy
behind GPS Visualizer, for providing this fantastic tool - for free!

As you might have noticed, we used it on the homepage of the World
Gliding Championships 2006 to display IGC-files both in Google Maps,
Google Earth and as altitude, speed and distance profiles. It all
started when I emailed Adam and wondered if he could modify the service
so that I could write a simple front-end for it and let GPS Visualizer
directly download the IGC files from our homepage and do all the hard
work of analyzing and drawing maps/profiles etc. Adam responded right
away and the result was really really nice.

See and try for yourself:

According to Adam, 4403 different users used this service to draw about
10000 maps. Thanks again!

You're welcome!

The WGC thing actually gave me the opportunity to make some
enhancements to the back end of GPS Visualizer -- enhancements that
will benefit everyone.
