Brutal F18 Landing On An Aircraft Carrier. I guess the Deck-Crew had
only one thing in mind when the Aircraft was coming in, "RUN" :

it's on the deck. it's stopped. it's not smoking.

Yeah, but by definition if the plane can't be used again (without
repair) it's not a good landing <g>
I'm curious to know what made it skid sideways like it did.

Looks to me he came down hard on the right gear and the tire may have
blown and/or the right gear collasped causing the sideway skid, but
that's just my observation.

I thought if you could walk away from it, it was a good landing; if
you can use the plane again, it's a *great* landing.

Well, he did suprisingly catch the 3-wire. So at least a Yellow.

Ahhh..There's nothing in there about repair. The only requirements are
if the pilot walks away and the plane can be used again.
