Does anyone know of any maps available that show ATC radar coverage at
different altitudes?

Not sure about the others, but I believe ZLA and ZOA have those
covered at www.freqofnature.com, with frequencies included.

Doesn't have maps for all freqs. but has handy info.

Each approach facility has a map the each point described by a lat/lon.
These charts have an FAA designation number which I will see if I can
find. I have some from 25 years ago for Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus
terminal approach facilities. These all underlie ZID/Indianapolis Center.

I normally use the IFR Low Altitude Enroute chart for finding a center
frequency... If the local frequency isn't the radar center you want
the controller will hand you off..

Actually I'm specifically looking for Ft Worth Center coverage.

Ok I guess I should have been more specific. I was really looking for at
what altitude ZFW could provide radar coverage over in the area surrounding
ELD. I broke down and just called ZFW and they told me.

1500'-2000' for those that might be interested.

There are no maps for what you are looking for becausae it isn't cut and
dried. It changes with weather and type of aircraft.

More importantly, it changes with facility staffing.

It has nothing to do with staffing.

I was thinking of combining sectors.

Combining sectors has no effect on radar coverage.

The computer and radar antenna doesn't know how many people are working.

The topic is frequencies in a given area of coverage. Don't drift off
topic.

The topic is radar coverage. Follow the thread.

Look at the subject of this thread.

Or was that missing a smiley?

It is irrelavant what controller works what frequencies or where he is
actually sitting. The antennas and radios are in a fixed location.

The original post asked for frequencies.

Here's the original post:

"Does anyone know of any maps available that show ATC radar coverage at
different altitudes?"

Where do you see a question about frequencies?

Hate to do this, Larry, but I have to call foul on this one. :)

From the bottom of their pages:

"This site is NOT affiliated with the FAA, the real Los Angeles ARTCC or
any of the Airlines listed. The information contained in this site
should NOT be used for real world navigation."

The OP was looking for something in ZFW anyway, so no harm
done. :)

The topic was NEVER intended to be frequencies.

That wasn't the way I read the original posting.
I interpreted the query as what frequencies at what altitudes in what
areas.
The original posted later responded that the area of coverage he was
interested in was only under Center control between 1000-2000 MSL.

Then you misinterpreted the query.

Since I was the OP let's make it clear what I asked.

The subject line hasn't changed and clearly reads, "ATC Center Radar
Coverage Maps"

The exact quote of what I asked was...

"Does anyone know of any maps available that show ATC radar coverage at
different altitudes?"

And just for the record ZFW told me 1500'-2000' was the minimum radar
coverage for the area I was interested in.
