Thanks Montblack,

I have that photo from the net, but was at the Pt. Townsend airshow last
weekend.

They were having a big party in one hangar and the poster was displayed
there.

Wally was a saint. He had 30000 hours instructing from Evergreen, mostly in
his Taylorcrafts.

$7 for the airplane $3 FOR THE INSTRUCTOR........1965.

Best,
Karl

$18 for plane (taylorcraft) and instructor in 1992(3?).

I remember flying one of his taylorcrafts in a left hand pattern at
evergreen. It had just come out of some maintenance and was so badly out
of rig that we could fly ONLY a left hand pattern.

Not only that, but that Taylorcraft probably still had the same oil in it
that I was using in 1965. I've NEVER seen blacker oil!

I seem to remember that Wally would pack the T-carts into the hangar by
tipping them onto their noses and sardining them belly-to-back. I think
I remember he placed the noses onto tires to keep the nosebowls from
getting beat up.
