I just got my first glider and want to personalize it. I have seen
where I can buy vinyl letters from commercial sites at reasonable
prices. However I am wondering if I can have these letters made at a
local 'sign' shop? What thickness of vinyl should be used? What is
the best way to remove the existing letters? Any other issues I should
be aware of?
Thanks in advance

I got mine from Tim Mara at www.wingsandwheels.com. They were perfect
and very reasonable. Tim can give you any recommendations on removing
the old numbers.

Local sign shop letters are just fine. I don't think the thickness is
critical.
To remove the old ones...
Vinyl...Hair dryer.
Enamel or laquer...acetone
Epoxy paint...happy sanding
