I have an old M nav which I am considering having serviced by the
Camebrige dealer in the UK. Has anyone in the US sent an instrument to
Dickie Feaks in the UK from the US? Any hassles involved? Also, this is
an old instrument and I am considering if the money to service it would
be better spent on an upgrade to a L Nav or 302.Has anyone done a
upgrade from M to L Nav.Does anyone know what used prices on the L
Naves are?Thanks,
Kirk

Having had both, when an L-NAV is coupled to a GPS, it is significantly
more usable than an M-NAV in final glide. Otherwise, they are pretty
much the same. I sold an early rev L-NAV for $500 a few months back,
used prices range up to $700 for a later rev with temperature probe. A
used 302 will probably cost well over $1500, if you can find one.

BTW, if you don't feel the need for speed to fly, I'd say a GPS, PDA,
and a good electronic vario (Borgelt B40 or 400, Tasman, etc.) will give
you far more bang for the buck than an older glide computer...
