View Full Version : Pawnee Spar inspecitons - where to go?
The Piper PA -25 -235 requires a inspection of the wing spar/cluster
every 24 months.
Who has experience and does these in the Southwest US, Nevada or
California?
Thanks in advance for any steerage or names and phone numbers.

I am a pawnee tow pilot, there are several aircraft here in SoCal that
have been done. Call Crystalaire (GWS) at 944-9449. If they can't
help, call me at 661.572.5528
Good luck;
Mike
Any qualified shop should be able to do this for you. The spar
inspection is not unique to the Pawnee, and aircraft such as the Cub,
Maule, etc all have an inspection requirement unless sealed struts have
been installed.
To date Philadelphia Glider Council has had no problems with our
Pawnee's spars--but we do hangar it.
Good Luck--

ours has the STC so we don't need that.. but we still have to pull the wings
every 6 or 8 years.. I forget right now.. Johnson Aircraft in Fresno CA (?)
carried Pawnee parts.. I'd check with them,.
