I am a flight enthusiast who has a penchant for lifting bodies. I
don't know if you are familiar with "The Boy that Soared with
Condors" but it came out in 1967 on The Wonderful world of Disney.

As well as being a story about two kids learning to fly sailplanes,
there is a sequence of the M2-F1 being air-towed and gliding down to a
landing. This, for me has become the "Holy Grail" of my LB
interest.

I have finally found reference to it on the "Disney Online" site.
It states that it is not currently a video for purchase, but if you are
interested "please let us know."

I am confident that this is a numbers game and I know some people were
brought to the sport of sailplanes by watching this show as kids. If
there was a way to contact your readership and let them know, I feel we
could get this TV show converted to DVD based on the number of
responses to the website.

If you think this may be feasible, please let me know. If I can help in
anyway, do the same.

The website for "voting" for "The Boy That soared with Condors"
is:

Thank you for reading this. I await your reply.

Thanks for the heads up on "voting" to get the movie on DVD or Video.
I've also looked for this movie and this is the first time that I have
seen Disney offer any encouragement that it might actually happen.

I have also seen the film, in Poland, years ago,
and still remember it.
One of the reasons I have taken up gliding.
