View Full Version : 747 Clock Time Base Question

September 15th 06, 02:20 PM
I'm trying to run a Haydon slave clock from a 747 on a bench but I
don't have the pulse generating time base.

I suspect the pulse voltage is 24 VDC. Can anyone tell me the pulse
frequency of this clock system used in the older 747s?

Thanks
Tom

Suspect it is 24-28 VAC 400 Hertz

Thanks for the reply but I don't think that's what it is.

The time base module is supplied with 28VDC and then generates its own
clock pulses of a certain low frequency. I suspect it is one pulse per
second or the like, but not sure of the exact frequency. A quartz
clock typically puts out one pulse per second.

Thanks
Tom
