This from John Good's report on the Region 4 South contest at New
Castle:
"Glen Maxwell is the Commodore of the New-Castle-based Craig Creek
Yacht Club. The CCYC puts a bit less emphasis on strictly nautical
endeavors than most such organizations (the committee charged with
studying an America's Cup bid seems moribund) but makes up for this
with a comprehensive social agenda. This evening's event was the
Commodore's Reception, an annual bash that features a keg of beer,
wine, and as much boiled shrimp as anyone could eat.
The CCYC is engaged in a capital improvement program, having concluded
that their infrastructure is outdated in certain critical areas. The
primary and most pressing need has been identified: a commercial frozen
margarita machine. The hat was passed and a gratifying level of
contributions was noted. "
I shared the above with my wife/crew who has been known to tip back a
margarita or two (frozen, with salt please). Looks like we're flying
New Castle next year...
