... and you wanted to base it somewhere in Europe that:

-was adjacent to mountains
-had hangar storage available and a long season for flying
-you could arrive any day of the week and find a tow and ground help available

where would that place be?

Most of them are closed for the winter. Doesn't leave much of a season, does it..?

Besides, who wants to face uncooked meat swimming in a dribbly pool of garlic sauce every mealtine?

And the Scottish beverage of choice is much nicer too.

Mind you, the mountains aren't so big but you'll learn to live with that...

I love the ASW 28 -18 E cant wait to fly the ASG 29 demonstrator it is in
Australia right now.

Hopefully I get to drive the new 18 meter Discus as well.

Challes Les Eaux between Grenoble and Geneva. Winch tow to a nearby
ridge and you are off for the day. Hangar may be filled, flying every
day. A very large friendly club.
