Big bon fire? Maybe not. Don't give up hope yet.
I recall seeing it on the SSA's Used Sailplane List
(long ago available from SSA for a SASE) in the late
1980s, back when I was looking for my first plane.
At that time, if my memory serves me correctly, it
had made its way to Austin, Texas. I have asked the
person if my memory is correct.

Will let you know what I find out.

I think the web page said they produced this glider. I have no idea how
many
or where they went but you'd think there are more than one of them..........
How many still in europe??

I think I'm right in saying that the M-1 was built
at the S-H factory to the design and under the direction
of Mr.Matteson,an American living and working in Germany
at the time.I guess the glider went back to the US
when he did.It was definitely a 'one off' and therefore
unique.
