Pictures from the movie "Escape from New York", which includes a
night-time glider flight to Manhattan and a landing on the roof of the
World Trade Center, are now available on my site:

Yes and the filming/flying was done all at night in California!

The plane was equipped for IFR flight?

No IFR flying required, so no.
