T-88 epoxy

Ok, so you build a wooden airplane, and it actually flies. You park it
for the winter and the temp
gets down below zero, alot....
Does this hurt the T-88 epoxy glue? Would the constant below zero temp
to close to 100
each six months do any damage or weekness?

Dear Lou,

The basic answer is 'no.' But only when a host of assumptions are
valid, such as promising to never dip your zero-degree-cold wooden
airplane into boiling water and so forth.

That isn't a joke, by the way. Marvelous as epoxies are they don't
even come close to resorcinol when it comes to durability. The FPL has
a number of papers on this subject. (Using FPL-16A as part of the seed
will help narrow down the search.)

But on the whole, once the bond has formed and the structure sealed,
low temperatures are not a problem.
