Well, hell, no wonder this putz can't come up with a single solitary example
of aviation experience.

He doesn't have any. Not even a student pilot certificate. Looks like his
record in the FAA database is limited to exactly this:

Medical Class :Second
Medical Date:02/1985
LIMITED TO MILITARY CONTROLLER DUTIES.

CertIficates
1 of 1
DOI :02/14/1983
Certificate: CONTROL TOWER OPERATOR
Limits
SCHWAEBISCH HALL AAF, SCHWAEBISCH HALL, GERMANY

On top of that, he's limited to ATC at one single, solitary base on the
planet. Hmm. I don't even think the base even exists anymore. :)

Yup, ilk usually refers to a type of person or of a group of persons from
one location. A gaggle can refer to a bunch of cackling geese, or a herd of
animals. Both fit the members of the rah gaggle to a tee. :)

This statement makes no sense...I did some update work in April,
traveled to Hawaii in May, returned, one of the Plaintiffs in the case
passed away ~ the one your girlfriend betrayed with all his hoopla
about fighting Civil Rights violations, then not coming through, after
he sold out to Houghton and RARA ~ and that website is on hold. No
work until I have further word from the remaining two Plaintiffs that
the case is underway again. There were materials on one of the
Plaintiffs computers and the security codes needed to be located and a
major case was about to be presented to the Federal government.

These are the facts. The website will be completed when the remaining
Plaintiffs are ready to do battle again. And your girlfriend Jimbo is
going to pay for her crimes. We're very patient here. We have all the
time in the World, and Time Limits for Court are outstanding.

Instead of researching and obtaining these facts, you ~ Noble
Journalist, much like your boss ~ offer "size 12 boot" and "Bull****us
Interruptus."

>From a "Noble Journalist," BTW, who claims to be a $1000.00 an hour

ROTFLMAO!!!

Great pic! That's the funniest damned picture I've seen of myself in
nearly thirty years!

Unfortunately, the theme plagarizes...again! Nothing original other
than you can morph images? At 1000.00 an hour I suppose?

Well, no sweat off my sack. It is a funny picture! <G>

Christ, that's a helluva monetary investment you just made in me!
Thanks!

Reptitive...as in using the word prepubescent too many times becoming
"prepubescent" in style.

I don't know, the damned thing sounds so BIG that it had to have been
made for you so that Jim Campbell could use it.

Who's "We!?" Are you schizophrenic too? My experience is already up
at my sites. I want to see if you know how to read, and also, for
decades, people have been demanding for you and Jim to put up or shut
up.

And you have not come through! If you did, people would find out what
flakes you are, wouldn't they, so that's you and Jim, always about
putting the burden that's on your shoulders onto the other guy so as to
distract attention from yourselves. So as to avoid "The Bad Light."

So ladies first...get your information up there and out there, the both
of you. Further, get the Aviation Experience of the entire ANN Staff
up there and out there. Set the example. Lead by example. That's
what they taught me in the Army.

That and wiping my ass with twigs like you.

Plagiarize that...LOL!!!

I agree...and whether they do or not, they should be totally flooded
with messages until they answer. So should their sponsors in
particular! THAT's what Campbell needs to avoid at all costs, or
they'll cut off the money umbillical and leave him marooned in limbo.

For him to be this quiet, you've got to know that you're having an
impact.

Turn up the heat!

I hate to respond to my own post, but I didn't think some of the others
desrerved a reply so...

I heard back from Rick Searfoss rather promptly. He evidently works for
XCOR Aerospace, and RRL is their client. He isn't paid by/Doesn't speak
for/represent in any way, etc.

I don't blame him, this is looking more and more like a Tarbaby.

I did get a reassuring note from Sandy Davenport, RRL Director of

Sorry to disappoint. It's got your name on it, not Jim's. :)

Oh, you think this is a private conversation? Confused about that too? :)

One solitary ATC license, a medical long expired, and a restriction to a

Re: The Tower: No different than the other Veterans here on this
Newsgroup: fought the "Cold War" (which means we stood guard a lot
twenty minutes by air from the Czechoslavakian border) and helped
preserve the Freedoms that you spit on every time you attack a veteran
here or defend the criminal Jim Campbell, whom we are sworn to protect
the people from since he's referred to in our oaths as an "Enemy
Domestic." As you soon will be...all criminals and their accessories,
who are ultimately labeled criminals, are.

You are not foreign. You are American. And you are a traitor to every
veteran who has served.

Your facts are still not straight...the above information is minimal
and I worked multiple bases over eight years plus. Keep
researching...if your going to act the Journalist, try to do the
Journalist's job correctly...before you start up with more of your
lying, pudknocker, and betray yourself even further as a Faux

Standards of Conduct, that are required of one.

Like Campbell, the title of a true Journalist cannot be bought. It
MUST be earned!

Also, only an indivdual attacking or betraying veterans, those who

served; not those veterans from Puerto Rico who served Honorably and

Campbell didn't serve adequate time to be recognized as a Veteran, let
alone, a Vietnam Veteran. His discharge is in question ~ he needs to
produce a DD Form 214 complete with RE Code. Sans the RE Code, any 214
he would provide is suspect.

What about your service in the military, Juan? Any? Did you stand
guard on a wall as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces?

If you did, I'd sure like to know why you turned traitor. If you
didn't, no explanation to the fact that your a traitor to every veteran
here and around the World, is necessary.

You stink will speak for itself...

Hi Chuck,

The RRL page says that Rick is "Chief Pilot". As I understand it, his
duties are strictly aircraft testing & developement for XCOR.

I think his Bio says 1100, but I'll let someone else tilt at that windmill.

I've read Ron Wanttaja's "Guide for the Zoomed", and I'm in the "Pop white
smoke and dive
for the bunker" mode. I had the range, fired for effect, and I'm still
waiting out the secondaries.
I think I'll wait till he stops to reload before sticking my head up.

In the Richard Schreder biography "10,000 feet & Climbing" it stated the
Dick flew over 750 different models. (page 23). The biography posted on the
web states he accumulated 15,500 hous of flight time.

"10,000 feet & Climbing" was written by his daugher. The 750 different
models seems high, she may have ment 750 different aircraft.

Seeing is believing...have you seen him in person to contrast the face
with the photo? And do you remember where you saw the photo? I'd like
a look myself...

That would be quite the shock for the Marines ~ "Conduct Unbecoming A

isn't, and for that matter, wasn't wounded in action.

We're working on that story right now....so if I can confirm the photo

Well, how about ANN's picture and bio of him...and if you think the RRL
bio for Campbell is bad, just check out the same page for what he wrote
about himself in his own bio at ANN as well...but here's Juan's porky

Holy smoke... 87 hours without power, another 24 before Comcast comes back
online, and there's just a *few* new postings on RAH since my last visit.

Didn't read much closely, but let me chime in a bit on a couple of things.

Let me address some of the stuff that came up as I scanned the postings.

1. "Govern yourself accordingly": I saw a comment that Zoom had learned this
phrase from one of his recent court cases. Not true...This has been one of the
Zoomer's perennials; one he's used for decades. It was used AT him by the
Federal judge in his first lawsuit against Sun-N-Fun:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE COURT (i.e. The Honorable Richard A. Lazzara, Unites States District Judge):
Excuse me, excuse me, he asks the questions --

THE WITNESS (i.e., James R. Campbell): I do know Mr. Jones.

THE COURT: Excuse me, I'm not through yet.

THE WITNESS: Oh, I apologize.

THE COURT: He asks the questions, you give an answer. Do not editorialize, do
not characterize.

THE WITNESS: Oops. It's my job. Sorry, sir.

THE COURT: You know, Mr. Campbell, maybe it hasn't dawned on you, but you're in
a Federal Courtroom now.

THE WITNESS: Yes, sir, I understand that.

THE COURT: Okay, and you're going to conduct yourself accordingly.

THE WITNESS: Yes, sir.

THE COURT: All right?

THE WITNESS: Okay.

THE COURT: I don't want anymore flippant remarks like that.

---Transcript, Case# 99-799-Civ-T-26C, 8 April 1999
----------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Zoom's holding a license/medical. As others posted, the FAA pulled his
medical in the early '80s. Zoom did get it back, in about 1984. It was listed
in the FAA pilot database in the late '90s. At one point the FAA gave pilots
the option of not having their data included in the public release of the
databases. Zoom was not listed in the next release.

The aircraft registration database still shows an amateur-built aircraft
registered to the Zoomer.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Zoom's discharge from the Air Force: I happen to believe that Zoom's
military service ended with an honorable discharge.

Why? 'Cause the Zoomer says so.

Fear not... t'was Helena, Montana that froze over last night, not the infernal
regions. I've got a perfectly rational explanation why I believe Campbell in
this case: Because it was the only POSITIVE thing he could say about himself at
the time.

To understand the circumstances, let's step back to that courtroom in New York
City twenty-seven years ago. Jim Campbell is being questioned, under oath,
about his military service:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Q. And where were you stationed?
A. First in San Antonio, Texas, for basic training. Upon completion of basic
training, to the Lowry Air Force Base, Colorado.
Q. And you were only in the service for approximately six or eight months?
A. There was a period of time before that -- it was called "inactive." That was
from October of '74, early in my senior year of high school with the United
States Army National Guard, 3rd/104 Armed CAB, that was at the time -- they've
since been reassigned. I made a switch from Army to Air Force in June of that
year. I didn't go until November. I was trying rather hard, and in -fact even
succeeded in getting a nomination to one of the service academies, which was the
reason for the period of time with the military. That attempt was unsuccessful
Q. And Mr. Campbell, you were terminated from the armed services. What was the
reason for that?
A. It was an honorable discharge.

--- NTSB SE-4661
--------------------------------------------------------------
Note the classic evasion: "Why were you terminated?" Zoom doesn't answer the
*why*, he just says he received a discharge... after just eight months of
service. If he'd been RIF'd...why not say so? Obviously, what brought about
the discharge is not something Zoom wanted to talk about.

I was suspicious about the claim to an honorable discharge, too...until I asked
a buddy who has been an Army company commander.

The upshot is that an honorable discharge is the *easiest* way to get rid of
someone you don't want. Endless paperwork on any of the others, and the danger
that the person will come back with a lawyer and sue. If you've got someone you
DON'T want, the quickest solution is to give them an honorable discharge. Every
other type involves yards of paperwork, in comparison.

In any case, I don't think even Zoom would have dared to lie, in that situation.
It was very likely that the government's attorney had obtained a copy of his
discharge paperwork, as part of the investigation.

4. Someone commented about Zoom seeming to be worse right now. If so, there's a
very good reason for it...one I recall mentioning to a fellow RAH-15'er a couple
of months back. Told ya so. :-)

I found no issue with 'this' answer. I thought the remark was lucid ...and
funny - not forcibly clever, or flippant.

(From the web)
Lucid:
1. rational, and mentally clear, especially only for a period between
episodes of delirium or psychosis

Ron, I have irrefutable evidence that Zoom committed Federal Perjury
against me. I notice that you have a letter submitted to the Court.

Is it possible for me to submit evidence in regards to Zoom's failure

I'm not a lawyer, but I figure a mere accusation of perjury in an unrelated case
would be of no help. Irrefutable evidence or not, I would guess that it's not
really applicable unless there's been an actual court ruling that he perjured
himself.

Zoom was sued for fraud and perjury in his bankruptcy and settled out-of-court
on a promise to pay about $50,000. I'm sure SnF is aware of this, at least.

I sure would like to see a count of the number of his former

have another world record to list on his BIO. Add in the ex-employees,

In the meantime, do you have any information on that case, and beyond

I thoroughly agree...get all his false charges together into one group,
publish them on the internet in one or more spots, but collectively,
then send links out so that folks can protect themselves against him.

This is way off topic right now but..

I find it suspicious that Juan dissappeared the instant you began talk
of _his_ credentials and spoke of going to the Marines about it. A bit
early to be certain yet but it looks like he may have left a trail of
dust. Only been about 24 hours.

These are just the cases I've found on the Polk County web page, plus the Hitlaw
case (which Frank posted about a while back) and, of course, the RAH-15 case.
Out of the fifteen, he's won one by default and achieved an out-of-court
settlement in four. In one of the out-of-court settlements (Flightworks) he
claimed that the settlement didn't even cover his court costs.

What a pathetic abuse of our court system. I suspect there are more
that we don't know about.

Boy I forgot some of those. What would be even more interesting would be a list
of people who he threatened to sue .That list would be quite large ,I suppose if
such a list were compiled those who claimed to have been threatened should have
some kind of proof ie internet post,e mail ,letter etc to support the
claim........Then there would be a catagory of those who were threatened
verbally but with no visible proof. Those lists would be huge and a lot of fun
to review :-)

....my guess, and this is just conjecture, is that he was pulled off by
his master who is, in all likelihood, starting to hear from the RRL and
other entities. zoom apparently looses his pet rat every time someone
takes him to task on his self-aggrandizing nonsense; this time, though,
it has backfired and i think zoom has put him back in the cage in the
hopes that the hornet's nest said pet rat has stirred up will quiet
down. i don't think that's going to happen.

i know for certain that, in "zoomspeak," a "number of international
news organizations" have been contacted with zoom's credentials of
another sort, i.e., transcripts of NTSB SE-4661 and Tulsa Trib
articles, copies of US Raviator articles and other assorted bits and
pieces of verbal sociopathy which he has been foolish enough to print
"thousands" of copies.

It has gotten very quiet, and very quickly.

Not a word from Zoom since last Sunday.

Sandy's Email was Monday about noon.(RRL Director of Communications)

Nothing has changed in the Bio, maybe the "process" is underway.

I find it amusing that you think that the fact I have work to do means I
disappeared, or that I give a flying intercourse what your pet reporter
thinks he will accomplish by going to the Marine Corps. Why don't YOU go to

Your guess, as usual, is wrong. I'm in NYC, teaching. Been busy. What's your

What was even worse was that there was a guy named Jim Campbell who lived very
close to Jim "zoom" Campbell in Florida. He got served with papers that were
zooms. He got all shook up trying to explain he wasn't the guy. So we used to
call him Jim Campbell "The Good" and zoom was Jim Campbell "the Bad".

Juan, you do realized, don't you, that before there was an "ultralight"
category of less than 300kg, there was, and still is, a less than 500kg
category. If someone wanted to set a record in an aircraft, of any weight,
there is now, and has been, a category for it. If the attempt had been made
in 1981, he would have had to compete with aircraft heavier than 300kg,
maybe even a prop driven BD5. The FAI certainly DID accept records from
lightweight aircraft prior to 1984. When you attempt a record in a weight
class, if your performance is good enough, you may saction and claim records
for weight classes above yours. For instance, I hold a World Class record in
Airplanes, propellor driven, 1000kg to 1500kg, or "C1-c". I also hold the
"C1, group 1" record for propellor driven aircraft regardless of weight. Now
Clay Lacy could probably dig out his DC6 or P51, and take the record away,
but in 27 years no one has done it. Zoom, could have claimed his record in
the same way. In fact, since it is an un-official, un-recorded, record, how
do you, or anyone else, know that someone else hasn't done the same thing,

Al,

You waste your time on Jaun. He has never admitted that he could
possibly be wrong much less actually admitting that he was wrong about
anything. His only action when faced with facts is to deny them and
start throwing insults. You are fighting with a pig in the pig pen and
the pig loves it. Logic and facts will never have any effect on him,
his mind (what there is of it) is already made up and facts will not
convince him to change it. Quit wasting you time with him, he just
isn't worth the effort or time.

Has anybody done the math on 17,000 flight hours?

If you flew one hour a day, it would take you 47 years to get 17,000 hours.

red12049[_1_]
January 2nd 07, 11:18 PM
Actually, he would have had to fly 2 hours a day, 365 days a year, missing
NO days, from the time he was 17 until now. Spoke with a retired Delta
pilot the other day. He has a bit over 17000 hours, including Marine
reserve time. According to him, in the "old" days, a retired airline pilot
would average about 22-24000 hours, but since the changes, starting in the
70's, most average about the same as he. The avergae aircraft owner/pilot
flies about 95-125 hours a year, according to the stats. You figure out who
is telling the truth.

Just my .02. YMMV

And I guess he really racked up the hours flying ultralights when his

Come on guys, racking up 17,000 hours would be easy. You fly 8 hours
per day, 5 days per week, 52 weeks per years for 8 1/2 years and you
have it. I am really surprised that Zoom only has 17,000 hours
considering his record.

It's even easier if you round off your minutes. He probably rounds to
the nearest hour so 31 minutes becomes an hour. Add that to the time he
has flights of fancy.....

No Type ratings? But he flew 1100 types. I'm not sure, but I don't think
there are 1100 types. That would be almost every aircraft type ever flown. I
do believe he would be hard pressed to show 1/10 that number. Truly a legend
in his own mind.

Haven't heard anything from the RRL. I wonder what they are up to.

Read *carefully* It doesn't say 1100 different _types_, just 1100 different
aircraft. Also note that all it says is that he has 'logged flight hours'
in those craft -- it does *NOT* say that he was the PIC. Given that it
specifies 'jets', and 'multi-engine A/C', one might suspect he's counting
'flight' time spent in the passenger compartment of scheduled airlines.

Given a lack of type ratings, one might conclude that the claimed flight time
does not include pilot/co-pilot time in anything requiring a type rating, such
as a 'multi-engine' rating, or a 'seaplane' rating. A reasonable conclusion
would be that he was a _passenger_ in those types. Lending credence to the
suspicion in the prior paragraph. :)

Remember, "figures don't lie, but liars can figure." <grin>

Maybe he counts individual flights in the same aircraft? After all,
each time he flies it is a different one as it is now 'older'.

Been out of town and the action continues:-) That's what he told me when I
questioned his claim of 1100 types. He said The 1982 Hawk is "different" from a
1992 and is a "different" plane . He loves to creat perceptions when the reality
is always something different. His claims of being a test pilot ,a HALO jumper et
al: might contain a small nugget of truth along with a ton of embellishment to
create the perception he is something he is not.

Wonder how many hours he "logged" in it during that time LOL!!

And he can claim a different one every time he flies as a passenger as
it is likely the 757 on this flight is different from the last flight.

Gee I never thought about control line . I flew competition Combat ,Rat Race and
Carrier events for about 15 years bet I got an easy 3 - 4 thousand hours I never
counted. I still fly indoor free flight started when I was 9 so I bet there's
another 3-4 thousand hours. Then there's hand launched gliders ,RC and free
flight. I bet I got 12 -13 thousand hours and you should have seen some of the
loops rolls and spins I did with some of them. Some had a slight phugoid
tendency with a slightly damped yaw harmonic divergence and a delightful pitch
positive obedient yaw coupling. I went to the same journalistic schoo; zoom
attended. I guess I'm a test pilot as well with hundreds of test flights in new
untried designs.LOL!!!

Al,
How is anybody going to take you seriously, when you don't even have the
terminology down? That should be "fly by wire", not 'control line'. *GRIN*

Some of you may remember the exchange a month ago with Zoom and the Rocket Racing league. After commenting on Zoom's Bio, I got the following response from Sandy Davenport, the "Director of Communications"

Thank you for your concern and alerting us to possible inaccuracies. We are looking into it and will update the bio if the questionable items cannot be verified.

Sandy Davenport, Director of Communications, Rocket Racing League

1120 Commerce Dr. Suite B, Las Cruces, NM 88011

Well, it's been a month and I haven't heard anything, so I followed up with an email last week, asking if she had completed her investigation. I got no answer.

The Bio hasn't changed, and the "Director of Communications" isn't communicating, so I think we have our answer. I guess I have to conclude that honesty isn’t their strong suit.

Juan,

Do you think that Campbell has flown as many hours as claimed and in as many different aircraft as claimed?

They'll follow the example of Pilot magazine and disassociate themselves with Campbell when they figure out the truth.

Anyone who is even remotely aware of how long it takes to accumulate 1700 hrs
can figure out zoom is lying about his time. I would think that somebody by now
on the RRL team who is truly a jet pilot with real experience would say
something to someone about zooms real qualifications.Although I feel zoom will
never fly a rocket racer much like jaun will never fly a BD-5 .To fly either one
requires skill, experience and a bit of testicular fortitude which both lack.

Nobody in their right mind would invest a cent in allowing Zoom to fly
their aircraft in a racing league. First of all, no other pilot would
want to be in the same sky with him. I don't care how many types of
aircraft he has supposedly flown or how many "hours" he has, if he
doesn't have the proof of solid consequtive hours in high performance
aircraft, they would not allow him to race.

If no other pilot would want to be in the same sky, wouldn't he win?

Sorry, just had to.

The more relevant question is whether I care what the rah gaggle thinks
about Jim's claims. The answer to that one is a resounding "no".

The rah gaggle has been repeating this line for years, and no such thing
ever happens. Don't hold your breath. Find something more constructive to do
with your time.
