If Santa had brought you the perfect aircraft, the very one that
you've always wanted, what aircraft would that be?

My perfect aircraft would take off from a paved runway, and carry me and a
buddy or two, a weeks camping gear, and our canoes or kayaks to a remote
mountain lake. While I'm wishing, I'd also like a 150 knot cruise speed.
And a pony.

But I'd settle for last year's EAA sweepstakes aircraft, a Husky on amphib
floats.

Mine would take off from a treadmill. <g>

What kind of aircraft would YOU ask Santa for?

If Santa were so generous to make such a gift AND would underwrite the
ongoing expenses of maintenance and operations which exceed those of our
Skyhawk, I'll take a Huey (UH-1H) please. Otherwise, a new 180hp engine
with CS prop for the hawk will do nicely, thanks.

Happy New Year!

I suppose I'd ask for something that I've flown in simulation, which
means either a Beechcraft Baron 58 (the one that came just before the
glass cockpit deathtrap), or a Boeing Business Jet 2 (that is, a
737-800, essentially). The BBJ2 requires a copilot, though, and has
other inconveniences, so I suppose I'd want both, so I could choose
the right aircraft for the right trip.

Interesting. Why the Huey?

Sorry, in this case Santa can bring only complete aircraft, not parts
or enhancements.

Too many to list, but I wouldn't say no to a Titan T-51.

With outboard speakers and the Wagner CD, I assume ;-)

A Bolkow Junior I'll fit into.

Yea. Something like a Beech Staggerwing or a Cessna 195 would have a lot of
class, but Santa would have to bring a medical along with it. And even Santa
ain't gonna come up with a medical for _me_...

So I guess I will just have to "settle" for an ASH 25 Mi

Not sure how he is going to squeeze one of those down the chimney

Commander 114TC. Love the doors, room, interior and trailing link
landing gear. Hmm. Or a Lake amphibian. Like having much more
choice in landing spots.

If it can be a fantasy aircraft, then a cross between those two, but
with far more speed ;-)

Don't forget the surfboards.

And for me, a Ventus 2cxM.

Why a Huey? I've got a couple of thousand hours in the UH-1 series machines
and have found no other machine that I more enjoyed.

They were good aircraft overall, then? I've read that they are very
noisy, though. I've never seen one in person, although I did see a
large military helicopter with two rotors at an angle to each other
once, but I don't know what kind it was.
