same as the one labele S2 Navy isn't it? I looked at the bldgs in the
background and they look the same to me.

Check the radome on top of the cockpit - different aircraft. Also, the
second ("Navy") picky shows US markings.

Bruce,
I agree with you that tboth pictures were taken at the same airfield;
however, the one marked S2 Italian is a S2.
The posting marked S2Navy appears to be a C-1 COD (Carrier Onboard
Delivery.) It may have been operating from an Italian airfield carrying
passenger and mail to a carrier deployed in the Mediterranean.
