gawd I didn't realise I also had none of this rare bird - so off to the
archives & books - so a couple of scans later here are a couple of them -
sorry for the quality - but what the heck - the best I can do with what I
got (& I say that to all the girls!!!)

Was to have been a high-altitude pressurised version of the B-25 was the
reason for
the cylendercal shape of the body of the XB-28.

The XB-27 was a Martin design that never got off of the drawing boards.

The Martin XB-27 and North American XB-28s competed for an August 1939
request for a high altitude medium bomber that was intended to
supplement the B-25 and B-26. Due to improvements in medium altitude
bombing the requirement was dropped. A second N.A. aircraft, XB-28A,
was built as a possible high altitude reconnaissance aircraft, but was
not bought either.
