I think the only place in the state of Oregon that ~didn't~ copy its name
from elsewhere is 'Boring'...

Washington has scads of Northwest native names including Seattle and my
favorite, Humptulips.

"not far from me") we have a little town called America.

I was bemused to notice when I lived in Washington
State that they have towns named George and Martha.
Should have expected it but there you go......
