Was it in this group a few years ago that someone posted a link, or
photos, or a Japanese modeler who had produced a stunning all metal
model of a Zero.

Yup.
You and Alf are both right.
After I posted I started to think that it wasn't a Zero but a Corsair.
In any event if there are other pix or a link available I'd be
interested in having a peek.
