Region Nine South Contest

[Charlie Lite]

In reponse to popular demand we will be holding a Region Nine South
Regionals in conjunction with the Standard Class Nationals in Hobbs.
The practice day will be July 15 and the contest 16th through 22nd. I
hope to have registration set up on the SSA website in the next few
days. The CD will be Charlie "Lite" and the manager will be Michelle
Sorensen. The hosting organization will be the Llano Estacado Soaring
Society. You all come and have a great time. Make your motel
reservations well ahead of time as Hobbs is booming and rooms are at
times hard to come by.

Charlie,

This is good news but I'm curious about the numbers. For a few days,
the Region 9 South contest will share towplanes, ramp etc with the
Nationals. What total number of gliders and towplanes do you
anticipate? Also, what are the chances that the FAI classes in the two
contests will have the same task on a given day?

Can you also please post the dates for the Nationals so there is no
confusion as to what you mean by "in conjunction with".
