Ran across this item this morning. Besides being kind of cool, its a
break from the serious discussions that have ensued lately.
As far as I am aware, this is legit.

Synopsis: Gulfstream flew a 8.5 hour test flight the other day that
outlined "GV" when viewed with Flightaware. I wonder how much of the
flight got charged off to the marketing dept.... :-)

It was just a test flight; probably a check-out of the aircraft after the interior was
fitted or something. They had to be up for eight-something hours anyways; why not fly a
pattern like that instead of holds over the great lakes? They've also been known to fly
around the perimeter of the lower 48 on the longer test flights, just for a change of scenery.
