I've started WikiProject_Gliding at Wikipedia, and would like to
invite others to join it, even if you are new to Wikipedia.
WikiProjects are used to help editors work together in a subject area.
The initial scope of this project is deliberatly broad and covers
aviation as well as avifauna, meterology, geography and biography. The
project is described in more detail at the home page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Gliding
The first task of the project is to get glider pilots to upload images
and add them to appropriate articles. Since it's northern winter, this
is a great time for pilots to go through their photo collections
looking for suitable images that they can share. For some ideas on how
to apply images to articles, have a look at the pages in the following
list:
Avifauna:

Aviation:

Biography:

Geography:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasserkuppe
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Branch_Susquehanna_Valley
Meterology:

We especially need pictures of notable glider pilots for their
biographies. See the list at:
