Can someone tell me if I am doing this right. I found this pdf document...
http://www.boeing.com/commercial/airports/acaps/7772sec3.pdf

using the chart on page 2 of the pdf file. Suppose you want to go
3000nm with a "Brake Release Gross Weight" of 480,000 lbs. Your "OEW
Plus Payload" would then be 375,000 lbs. I am guessing that OEW must
refer to the empty weight of the plane which I think is 306,000 lbs.
That leaves us with 105,000 lbs for fuel which, dividing by 7, gives us
15,000 gallons (about half a tank). Now subtracting 306,000 for 375,000
gives 69,000 lbs. So the conclusion I draw is....

15,000 gallons of fuel in a 777 will carry 69,000 lbs of people and
stuff 3,000 NM.

Sound right?
