View Full Version : Rec.Aviation "Rogues Gallery" Photo Page Update
Jay Honeck
March 2nd 07, 08:40 PM
Sorry, I haven't sent this out for far too long...but for those who
don't know, we've got a "picture page" of rec.aviation users (and
their aircraft) here:
http://www.alexisparkinn.com/rec_aviation.htm
To see a new update, go here to see some new pix of Ken Reed's AWESOME
'91 Mooney M20M:
http://www.alexisparkinn.com/rogue's_gallery_q_-_z.htm#R
Want pictures of YOUR "pride & joy" on display, for the rest of us to
admire and drool on? It's easy -- just send 'em to me (attached to an
email) at and I'll get them up ASAP.
Please try to restrict it to half a dozen or so pix, with a short, 1
or 2 paragraph write-up of your home base and maybe how many times
you've made it to OSH or SNF. 640 x 480 resolution is ideal, but I
can work with just about any size.
Enjoy!
:-)

Does it have to be an airplane you own? I have a few pics of the
Pilatus PC12 I fly for charter. I'm going to the Caribbean in a few
weeks to fly some trips and bring the plane back to Connecticut at
weeks' end.

Nope! If you poke around the Gallery, you'll see there are quite a
few folks who have posted planes other than owned birds. Send 'em
along!
(One caveat, though. From the get-go, back in '02, we made the rule
that you must use your own real name in the Gallery. Since the idea
of the Rogues Gallery is to get to know each other better, the idea of
using pseudonyms is anathema to the Gallery concept.

Perhaps Mxsmanic will submit a picture or two of himself
slobbering over his grimy Pentium.

All of you MX-fixated folks should really go flying. I think you've

Now why on earth would I want to do that? Watching
his posts annoy people is just a hoot! You don't know
what you're missing.
It's just that now he is part of the family here,
he ought to have his "pride & joy" displayed in the
Rogues' gallery with the rest of us.

I did Michele!
...on some of the "bashers"...
Mx is not nearly as annoying...

I told it not only delete the posts but to ignore the entire thread. I
see none of it. Thunderbird is a wonderful thing.

If you are blocking every thread MX joins, you are missing most of
rec.aviation. He is ubiquitous.
Honestly, I don't see what is so hard about skipping over his posts.
It's not like he changes his name, and his name is certainly easy to
remember.
That way you avoid the aggravation, but still get the "meat" of the
newsgroup. (Although admittedly you also get stuck reading some of
the disheartening personal attacks and insults that are posted in
response.)

Most of the time I just skip the drivel..unless I am in the mood (and
have the time) for some entertainment....
I find MX asks some pretty good questions.. and when some one KNOWS
the answer, I learn something..........
The bashing is getting realy annoying though.... :(

I can't believe how far off topic this thread went because of "He who
shouldn't be named" and he didn't even post in this thread either. Its
getting way out of hand because of Nonsense. LOL
Jay,
From the very start of this thread it was mentioned that you don't have to
own the A/C is this correct?
If it is I would like to submit a shot of me in front of a "Very Old but
Nice Little Girl". No, I don't own it. Actually, way to old to even think
of it, I wouldn't be able to afford the upkeep.
Here is the Link:

Since you mentioned giving something to drool over. I would like to submit
2 shots that I took from this Beaver this past summer.
