Drives me crazy sometimes. We see the aircraft flying west along the beach,
banking north and then turning east on final. They can go over the lake
behind our house (runway 07R) or across the street over the bayou (runway
07L). Every once in a while someone decides to fly right down the treeline
behind the house and all we see is an aircraft blocked by pine branches.
I'm going to start sitting on a friend's dock across the lake. In the
morning that will put the aircraft with the sun at my back most of the time.
As they bank and turn I should get some good cockpit pictures. Of course
that means I'll need to run a floating coffee pipeline across the
lake.......

Blue Angels come home from their California training tonight. They do an
airshow at Davis Mothan Air Force Base in Arizona today which should put
them in here before sundown. If I sit outside with a book and my camera at
hand I just might catch them as they fly by in formation. Usually they
arrive from airshows and let everyone know they are home. Then they do the
Navy break over the Naval Air Station and come around for a landing. It's
good to have them home. Three practice sessions are scheduled for Wednesday
but the ramp isn't open to the public until the one on the 27th. I'll just
stay home and watch, Tom
