Extract from a BBC4 interview featuring a model of the ESA's Beagle2 Mars
landing probe:
Vaughan: "It's only made of cardboard."
Pillinger: "British ingenuity."
Vaughan: "British ingenuity-the first to send a cardboard probe."
Pillinger: "Well, when we get the budget we will make it out of something
more substantial."

Good grief.
Here's a genuine RAF bikini, courtesy of 902 Expeditionary Air Wing

Hey, that'll be even cheaper than those fancy flight simulators in use
now.
The initial syllabus will require the use of the "tandem" training
configuration. The instructor will be strapped into the right "sockpit",
while the student stays alongside with the left.
New "pilots" can then be "trained" by running around in circles,
flapping their arms vigorously while yelling "vroom" and "whoosh".
Calling out "fox #" or "guns" will be restricted to special exercises
where these new "aviators" pursue available canid resources (i.e.,
"dogfighting"), subject to local government approval and restrictions,
of course. However, the term "Splash" will now refer to encounters with
"countermeasures" that have been previously deployed by these "targets".
Graduation will no longer be termed "soloing", but rather "pairing", as
the student will be required to demonstrate proficiency in both
"sockpits" simultaneously during a series of "short hops".

Hey I have several...
A couple of American civil war Mini Balls, a hardly ever used soccer ball, a
old American foot ball, and I think I have a tin of tennis balls somewhere
around here...

That reminds me of a young lady who used to work for me, arriving at
work one day with a dreamy look in her eye. When I asked if she'd had a
good time on the previous night she said: "Yes, it was great, the bloke
I was with had more helmet than the London Fire Brigade."
I now see just what she meant!
