Oooo.... my ears hurt just looking at the photo. Together with the
Lightning, this was probably the loudest thing you used to get at airshows.

Best of all was when she was operating from the airfield itself rather than
flying in - there really was no sound to compare with a Vulcan charging down
the runway at full throttle.
From the Vulcan to the Sky website (http://www.tvoc.co.uk/) the target is to
have her ready for flight by mid-June, so it's a sound I might hear again
this year. I have to admit, I had my doubts when I took this photo back in
May 2003.

Boy would I like to see one flying. I saw the one in the Royal Airforce
Museum. Unfortunately have no trips planned to Europe.
