A friend has a number of old RPM gauges and the face of the indicators need
to be redone. Anyone have some insight on how this is done or who I could
contact for this type of repair ??

You need to locate a reputable Instrument Repair Shop to have these done
correctly.
It's not a simple matter to open them up, let alone re-apply numeric decals,
reasemble, reseal and purge with dry nitrogen. Then there's "minor" issue of
the bench test.

I haven't checked lately but WagAero has offered this service in the
past.
