There is a local Ka-6 that Rudy Mozer flew 396 miles
straight out from Adrian, Michigan.

The Kansas State Free Distance record is held by a
long winged BG-12 at 436.1 miles.

My Dad built a Cherokee with a 15 meter wing (called
the Annebula). He did his Diamond distance (in a flat
triangle) with it, and my younger brother and I both
did our Diamond Goal/Gold Distnace with the ship in
Kansas.

Wood is good. And I think I saw there is a Wooden
Gliders contest planned for somewhere in the UK this
summer. My club has a trophy for wooden gliders only.
And I am thinking of putting on a Wooden Gliders only
contest within my club this summer.

Have wood, will travel? :-)
