The 2007 Pennsylvania - Region 3 OLC-Based Championship
It's FUN It's EASY It will IMPROVE YOUR FLYING

Sponsor:
· John Godfrey (QT) - SSA Governor for the Region 3 part of
Pennsylvania
· additional sponsors are invited -

Purpose:
· To encourage members to fly more often, improve their flying skills
through flight analysis and to begin "spreading their wings" to learn
x-country flying.

Period of the competition:
· The 2007 OLC season (starts October 10th, 2006 and ends October 8th,
2007)

Eligible participants:
OLC registrants who:
o reside in the Region 3 portion of Pennsylvania or
o whose club base of operations is in the Region 3 portion of
Pennsylvania.

Eligible flights:
· Any OLC validated flight that originates in the Region 3 portion of
Pennsylvania

Competition categories:
· OLC Classic - Champion (best 6 flights)
· OLC Classic - All Flights
· OLC Classic - Best Flight

Note that flight scoring is handicapped based on glider performance -
so all gliders can compete on a pretty even basis.

Safety rule:
Any flight resulting in damage that renders a ship unflyable for the
remainder of the day or longer will be deleted from the scoring.

Prizes:
· Still TBD depending on recruitment of additional sponsors but at a
minimum certificates "suitable for framing"
