Hello Everyone -
I work for the controls and instrumentation group at Canada's National
Research Council in Ottawa, Canada. We test turboprop and turbojet
engines for most of the major engine manufacturers. We acquired 4
Microturbo TRS-18's in the 1980's for a research project that was
cancelled. I believe that they are the 220 lbf thrust versions. The
have an integral electric starter/generator. We are planning to use
the engines to shake-down a new altitude test facility. I have 4 brand-
new engines (from 1981) in boxes with absolutely no documentation. I
am looking for documentation on engine control, specifically ECU
hookup, fuel pump specifics, and starter-generator wiring. Being a
Government/Military testing agency I can probably get the info through
official channels but I would like to get these things going this
summer so I thought I would try this group first. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
Here are the particulars of the engines:
Engine: 046.01.01
Dist Block 046.23
ECU 046.32.01
Fuel Pump 046.05
Thanks in advance for your time,
Brian
