View Full Version : Rocket Racing League/Zzzz

Did anyone else see today's story in ANN that one of the founding teams in
the Rocket Racing League is dropping out, due to incompatible communication,
vision, and business practices between the team and league?

The funniest part was where ANN "disclosed" that Zoom was one of the
"founding" test/demo pilots for the league, blah, blah, blah. It read more
like a zoom press release than a disclosure...

Interesting that a fine source of journalism like ANN sees fit to disclose
information that paints a good picture of ANN's founder (you know, the
rocket test/demo pilot), but the full truth of his medical and SnF issues
(or behind his repeated attacks on CGS) has never been disclosed by ANN.

Double standard? Naaah...

Oh, and by the way, does the RRL seem like a fundamentally flawed idea? I
just can't see how a series of single aircraft turning circles (or figure
8's, whatever) at altitude will make for much of a show.

I said the same thing, long ago. They will never stage a single race, is my
bet.

Any takers? Nah, I didn't think so. <g>

Hey, remember the rocket racing bunch has hyped this as going to be
bigger than NASCAR. Maybe it would be if they raced around Bristol.

I think another safe bet after there won't ever be a race will be that
zzzoom never test flies one of the rocket planes.

It sure seems that RAH has a lot of prophets in it's ranks. The RRL never held a
race and zoomy never tried to fly one of the racers. All predicted by the RAH
Prophets :-) I had to laugh at zoomys need to pump up his own balloon by saying
there was a need for a "proper and full disclosure" as if anyone asked for one.
Oh what a truly humble man is zoom.....NOT!! LOL!!! Rocket Racer test pilot
LOL!!

Won't stop him from claiming that he did though. If all his claims
were true, his resume would be pretty sparse.
