See a short video of our Sun N Fun '07 memories here:

To see lots of pix, see:

For those who have never had the privilege of SNF, these will give you
a good flavor of what it's like to camp on the field. It was a great
time -- we're already dreaming about going back!

Cool, thanks for posting Jay. I love the video, especially when the
Twin Beach screamed overhead.

Am I seeing the one pic correctly...did you land at SnF on a taxiway?
(It looks like a taxiway...)

Nice collection of pics/memories.

They made me do it!

:-)

Yep, Lakeland's Rwy 27R is normally a taxiway. (OSH does this too,
with Rwys 18/36.)

Thanks. We're in the middle of a complete remodel of our hotel lobby,
which has literally taken every waking moment both before and since we
returned from SNF. I finally sat down today and forced myself to
ignore everything else long enough to throw this webpage together, or
(as with so much of life) it would have quietly slipped away into the
past, and the pictures/video would have languished on my computers
hard drive, forgotten...

Isn't that awesome?

It was almost scary, he was so low. Watch as his smoke flows over our
campsite (I stopped filming right before it completely engulfed
us).

That dude (the son of one of the guys killed in the Masters of
Disaster act a few years ago, I believe) was LOW.

Kyle Franklin?

Nice video Jay, I see I got a cameo appearance in the B-1 Lancer
shot :)

My photos are here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/8119303@N03/

There's a familiar looking couple somewhere in there, too.

I was surprised by how good the limited amount of video I shot on my
Canon 540 camera looked and sounded, and it took up less space than I
thought also. I actually managed to leave with plenty of memory left
on my 2 GB card, and plan to shoot more video to correct that problem
in the future :)

re: the Spitfire shut down - I've read in several WWII accounts that
due to the placement of the radiators behind the landing gear,
Spitfire's are limited in their taxi time before overheating.

Cool! Sorry, I didn't catch any still photos.

Great pix! But, boy, do I need a new airshow hat, or what?

:-)

Yeah, these little Canon cameras are just amazing. I carry (and use)
mine literally every day. Not at all like my old Nikon SLR, that
required ten minutes of set up to get (admittedly great) pictures.

Yeah, he was definitely cooking. I was very glad to not be directly
behind him...

I think so. Or it might have been the other Franklin boy?
