The impressions and attitudes of the couple in question are
_ABSOLUTELY_ irrelevant in this matter. All that matters is the
employee was not able to muster the maturity to not only keep his
emotional reaction contained, but in fact went out and ACTIVELY sought
out a course of action to publicly express it.
This is unacceptable. It makes him a liability to the company, and
they should have no business with him until he can learn to act like
an adult when representing them. Period.
The fact that you are so blinded by your own hatred for this
particular couple whom you have never met simply because of a
lifestyle they live that you would even begin to consider this man's
behavior to be appropriate is sad commentary on your own maturity... I
do hope, for your sake, that faced with a similar situation you will
not be so deluded as to choose a similar course of action. If you do,
I fully expect that you should and will face the consequences for your
immaturity as this man did...
You are free to feel however you want about whomever you want. That
is your right, and I would defend it with my life. That said, you are
NOT free from the responsibility of understanding social etiquette or
the demands placed on a customer-interacting employee.
