DC-8 63 Series Stretch departing Flying Tigers Terminal Seattle 1981. I
recall filing flight plans as a "Heavy DC-8 Fox Trot" or H/DC-8/FT as I
recall. My memory is as clear as this photo :(

I flew in a Flying Tigers DC-8 63 Series to Korea in 1980. They were
pationately known as cattle cars.

pationately ? err, maybe passionately? I flew on to DaNang, RVN, in 1967,
but I don't remember any passion. Got kissed on the cheek by the Flight
Attendant at the door on my way out... That's DaNang in the photo.
As for cattle car, you ought to see one loaded with a herd of 'guarenteed'
pregnant hefers (holsteins, as I remember) being sent to Japan, which had
restrictions on processed meat. So we sent 'em live... Once, we sent a
breeder bull, and he moved very slowly up the ramp to the door of the
aircraft, and a ramper was about to hurry him along with a cattle prod, and
a cowboy told him, "You touch him with that, and he'll go right through that
l'il airplane of yours!"
