I have heard from someone who knows her personally and who's opinion that I
trust...
She is one of the most deceptively talented actresses of the current day...
He was not talking about her screen acting ability, but her ability to
choose very bright people who know how to help her make a lot of money.
Others who know her have made similar remarks that the dazzle brained
persona is just a very carefully sculptured act. What we see and what she is
are two very different things.

You sound more and more like the "Twit" of old, Andrew.
Sorta missed you.
As for Jessica, you are absolutely right. Her pop has been behind the scenes
almost all the way, also.

Like the Nuremburg rallies in Germany in the '30s and '40s.

Memorial day is a day in which we remember those that have given their lives
to protect ourselves and our friends from those who would take away freedom
and impose themselves upon us, such as our fallen from WW 1 and 2,
Korea,Viet Nam. Basicly it a a day of thanks for the ones that have given
all that they have so that the rest of us can live free. As opposed to
veterans day, which is to thank all of our veterans, both living and not
that have served in our armed forces. As for it being like the Nuremburg
rallies in Germany in the '30s and '40s as another individual has intimated,
that I suppose is entirely up to what you believe. I'll respect his right
to his opinion, but I sure dont give his opinion much respect.....

Please disregard the fatuous response of my countryman.

Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday in May, is Remembrance Day, Battle
of Britain Day and Trafalgar Day all rolled into one. It dates from the 1880s
and originated in the states of the Union side of the U.S. Civil War.

thanks for the link. I learned a few things they didn't teach me in
school... or happened after I left.

I do like the idea that some politicos have tried to revert the dated back
to May 30 instead of the "last Monday" of May. The 3 day weekend turns a
solemn occassion into "party time". While I don't doubt our fallen soliders
had their party times, they also knew there was a proper time and place for
that.
