What do you-all think of the flying bits in Beryl Markham's West With
the Night?

Evidently there is some question whether she wrote it or her boyfriend
did.

Another good read, is "The Many Lives of Beryl Markham".

That author suggests, that West into the Night, was a collabrative
effort. It was certainly her story, but her boyfriend/husband at the
time, was a ghost writer for Hollywood. She did try, but was never
able to write anything near as good afterword.

He maintained that all he did was "pretty it up a bit". Her education
did not include much writing.
