If your telescope didn't track it properly, then this *might*
be a multiple image of TiPS (Tether Physics and Survivability
Experiment). (1996-029-F; Spacecom catalog #23937)

It's two small satellites linked by a 4 kilometer tether.
Sometimes the tether glows like a fluorescent light.

Nope.....no basements in Florida that I'm aware of. (At least none built by
Floridians!)
Besides... my parents had 6 young'ns.... I'm sure they don't want to set any
precedents. They already did their hard time with the kids. ... Of course,
we're welcome to visit anytime. :-)
