My current e-mail/usenet provider just bounced my over to PeoplePC. (I
don't know if it was a buyout or what)

I can't find anything about usenet access on the PeoplePC site, so I don't
know if I will have access in a few weeks when the change goes final.

anyone have any suggestions for a provider so I can still read this and
other groups if I get dropped?

I am not going to shell out $10 a month for e-mail if I dont get full
binary newgroup access.

Thanks in advance.

Chris,
I reckon that you cannot go past Astraweb.
I use them here (as well as SuperNews) and I find them to be the best.
Try them at www.astraweb.com

PeoplePC ? ,,,, just say NO.

I got bounced to PeoplePC some time ago and it was the worst experience
of my internet usage life.

Their tech support is in India or somewhere like that, they think they
understand and speak English, but it is not the English I speak. Had
nothing but trouble, after about a month of trouble (I am a patient
person) I tried unsucessfully, for about a months duration, to get them
to let me go, finally I thought I had it done, but they kept billing my
credit card for several months after that. It took some very terse phone
calls to get them to stop billing.

YMMV, but I wish you luck.

Hello,
I've been using Agent Premium News for over a year. It's subcontracted
through Supernews, and the service has been excellent. You can learn

As a backup to my ISP, I use the (almost) free teranews.com . It usually
works if your needs are light, and the price is right.
