I went flying in my "new" Taylorcraft for the first time in a couple of
months. I took my daughter up for her first ride. I bought the plane from
a used car salesman and he "forgot" to tell me about the massive oil leak.
Fortunately the leak was easy to fix (hole in valve cover). That 85 HP
engine in that light frame leads to a healthy climb out.

NASA offered me $15,000 to take down my web site. Take a look and see why.

I can't tell -- without a smiley, are you joking? Did you have a pre-
buy inspection performed?

She is 12. One reason I bought the plane is to teach her how to fly.

Yes I had a prebuy, but he didn't catch the hole in the valve cover. The
hole was caused by a sheet metal screw holding the lower cowl to the nose
bowl. You couldn't see the whole until the nose bowl was pulled.
And yes, he was a used car salesman. I ordered a copy of the aircraft
paperwork from the FAA and it showed the owner as "Andy's Auto Sales".
