Glenn, I really admire the colours on your shots, I don't recall ever
seeing one where the saturation isn't perfect. Do you concentrate on
this a lot, while you're taking the pic or afterwards ?

I treat them all on their merits. I think all I did with these last ones was
to darken them a bit to look better on my monitor. I did add saturation to
the Mirage and the Harvard
with teh tractor as I didn't like the lighting conditions at the time

This shot is as is from the camera. No adjustments, only resizing. No
sharpening either.
Only the text added.
I find though that every time I use a different computer the results are
heaps different. I have been looking at some of my
previous uplaods and they are horrible (on this new monitor) but they were
from how I had it calibrated for the print lab I use.
So I am going blind on this one as I have not had anything printed in
several months.

So your camera is set on 'rich', so you can 'lean' it off a little in the
lab ?
I noticed that my pics look a little different on my screen as compared to
my daughter's, just not enough to justify a new monitor.

Nope. I think the canon 20D might be one notch above default but the Nikon
D100 and the Olympus E300 are factory default. I will have to check to see
what I have set on the 400D.
I don't recall adjusting anything on that one.

Do you have a shot of the complete aircraft, with all of the wings?
Joe.

Do you have a shot of the entire aircraft showing all of both wings?
Joe.

Thanks Glenn. I was in charge of the Recip shop in VA122 for a couple of
happy years. We had about ten T-28s, one A1E and one C1A. A great tour of
duty.

It's the stupid moinitors. I had a bunch that were too dark. So, I lightened
them up. On other people's computers, they look too light. I learned from a
friend, who had the same problem, until he bought a different monitor. The
problem is, the monitors need to be calibrated properly. Otherwise, some are
too contrasty. I tried to calibrate mine, but, everything but the photos
looked over-exposed. I connected my computer to my already calibrated HD-TV,
and it made a world of difference. Higher resolution and better color and
contrast. Not all monitors were created equal.

I purchased the Spyder2Pro calibrator to keep my monitors properly set.
It's not inexpensive, but worth it to keep everything looking the way it
should. We have 8 LCD monitors in the house, so it gets used. It can
also be used on the new digital televisions.
