Guys, are any of these pictures any good? Maybe someone would like to repost
some as normal files? Even if I could read yEnc files, I wouldn't be able
to see these as only the (2/2) have come through.

Just another nitpick ....

These files aren't posted in yEnc, they're multi part binaries, due to
their size.

If you had all the parts, you'd be able to combine and decode them in OE6.
If they were encoded in yEnc, you wouldn't.

I should be specific, the ones by Mr. D were yEnc, the others as you said
were just multiparts. Mr. D. Prolly didnt come thru if you had yEnc as a
filter. I know he wont be on mine anymore. :D

Thanks for the correction, I have a filter that marks 'yEnc' files as read
(as you suggested).

Immediately above Russell's post in my newsreader is Ricardo's 'Fairford
2007' collection - which were multiparts. I should learn to pay more
attention before I jump in - or wear my damned glasses.

I have access to to news servers. On the first one only the 2/2 came thru,
just like your news server. BTW this news server is Bigpond in Aus.

I also have access to the news20.forting news server, and all the 1/2 and
2/2 came thru. Bigpond commonly drops many bits of multipart postings.

I see I get a mention - I hope I'm doing it right. Please let me know if
there are any problems with my pictures. Apart from the lack of artistic
talent, that is.

Your images come thru here fine Ricardo. A bit on the large size, but
atleast they are viewable!! :D
Quality wise, they look fine to me also! :D

Yes, they are good, surprisingly good for camera phone pictures. And
they are normal files. The problem is your newsreader which can't decode
them, and your news server which has poor retention if only one part is
showing up.
