View Full Version : pressure-sensitive adhesive black felt bulk order?

Thanks to Erik Mann (P3) I have located a source for black felt with a
pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, perfect for suppressing canopy
glare and reflection. However, the vendor insists on a $100 minimum
order (about 10 yards of material). I only want 1 yard, so I'm
looking for other parties that might be interested in a piece or two.
I'd be willing to order the material and parcel it out if there is
sufficient interest. Email me at

That would appear to be a good price. If you don't get takers, try
McMaster-Carr, www.mcmaster.com. They carry black self-adhesive
felts.

Based on the responses I have gotten so far, I just ordered 10 yards
of the material. When it comes in, I'll notify everyone.

Tim Taylor got the last one, so the felt "yard sale" is officially
over. Now all I have to do is deliver the [yard] goods ;-). I should
have the bulk order in sometime next week, and everyone's pieces out
within a day or so after that.

Just buy standard felt or velvet at your local fabric store. Apply with 3M
77 spray contact adhesive. I did this five years ago and it is still
perfect.
