View Full Version : Need 12v Outlet Recommendation

The auto parts store 12v outlet I installed in the RV last year is
defective. It makes a connection with some of my 12v accessory cables, but
has intermittent or no contact with others (e.g. my Lowrance Airmap).
So, anyone got a source/part number recommendation for a 12v outlet that
works properly?

Chances are the problem is not with the outlet but with the plug-in
connector since some work and some don't.

They all work in my car. Of course, the car is a Honda and they are pretty
good with the details. As opposed to the $4.99 outlet I got at the local
auto/aircraft parts emporium.
And thanks, Michelle.. There is a West Marine a couple of miles from my
house. I've got nothing to do this morning, as weather has prevented me
from attending Oshkosh and is also keeping me from going flying this
morning...

Get one out of a HONDA. From the dealer. Or Cheap out and go to the
wreckers. They all pretty much fit the same hole - - - .

As everything works with your Honda receptacle, get that one from your Honda
dealer's parts department. (I bet it won't be 4.99) ...
