Jay, sorry we missed you and the others at Oshkosh. We were there on Tuesday
but due to time constraints didn't have a chance to drop by the North 40
area. We were there for just one day and when we left, our feet could hardly
move. It was a great experience.
We just got home from spending 2 weeks in Appleton, WI (about 20 miles N of
Oshkosh) and this is the first opportunity I've had to get onto the RAP
newsgroup.
Glad you all made it home safe. I hope everyone did.
Best,
Harry

We missed ya, Harry -- but Montblack, Jack, Steve and I probably drank
your share of the beer, so no worries!
So, tell me, what does one do for two WEEKS in Appleton, WI? (I've
visited Appleton many times, but for only an hour or a day or two...)

It is a very beautiful and restful place. That trip was towards the end of
our stay and we were really tired by then so we mostly just drove around and
looked at the various sights. We did buy a gallon of Maple syrup - it cost
$44 but it sure was good.
BTW, our daughter and her family lives in Appleton, so our trip was a visit
with them. And she loves to shop and my wife leads the pack unless our
granddaughter hears the shopping is for her. I just go along to write the
checks :-).

The neat part about Door County is that it's beautiful, peaceful, and
quiet -- OR it can be fun, quirky, and downright weird, with lots of
unusual shops and restaurants.
Joe and I trend toward the peaceful part, and like to ride our bikes
in Peninsula State Park, with all of the gorgeous views of Green Bay.
Mary and Bec like the shops...
