What happened to the injured BD-5 pilot that was pulled from his burning

he is now at home in a wheelchair. he is bright and chirpy and looking
to get back into building.
there is a hope that he will walk again but it may take a year or so.
the prediction is that he will need splints to hold his feet in
position but should eventually be able to walk again they think.
he suffered compressions in three areas of his spine which has damaged
a number of 'activities of daily living' functions.
the BD5 is a writeoff. the fuselage has fire damage for some odd
reason.
an amazing thing that occurred out of this is that the Royal
Australian Airforce wrote him a letter offering condolences in the
prang of his aircraft and in the next paragraph threatened to fine him
$250 if he didnt remove the pseudo RAAF markings from his homebuilt.
as if a BD5 could be mistaken for anything flown by the airforce. :-)
you can email him yourself if you want.
the letters pee jay gee at iprimus dot com dot au should do it
tell him a tailwind pilot gave the addy to you.

Glad to hear he is on the mend.
