I am looking for some aircraft data for a 1978 Cessna R182. I am going
to take my Commercial checkride in about 3 weeks and want to have the
data in my Flightsoft program. I was going to purchase a POH, but the
cheapest I have found online was $88!

I am looking specifically for Takeoff/landing data as well as weight
and balance data to include loading envelope figures. I also need
climb/descent figures as well as cruise data at different altitudes.
If anyone has a POH for this particular airplane, would it be possible
to get the information via scanned pages or something of that nature?
I would really appreciate it. I would just borrow the POH from the
flight school, but it is over 3 hours away and I don't plan on going
back there until my checkride in 3 weeks.

Also, is it permissible or better yet acceptable to use a Garmin 396
during a commercial checkride? I think it would be a great situational
awareness asset in an already somewhat stessful situation.

Go back to the flight school.
The W&B and performance data that you need to use should be for the specific
airplane that you'll use on the checkride. A great way to fail the
checkride before it starts is to use some generic R182 data.

BTW I did my Commercial, CFI and CFII in a '78 R182. Great plane.
