At the Royal Netherlands Naval Air Station "De Kooij" an airshow was held
today, Saturday september 15th.
The NH-90 in Dutch colors is a flying testbed just dressed up to look Dutch.
A little compensation from the factory is going to be way too late to
deliver the real thing (should have been delivered late this year, will now
be in 2009).

You can see some pictures of the show on this enthusiasts site:

Enjoy :-)

The first time I saw the guy last year at an airshow at Airforce base
Leeuwarden my daughter was with us. She wasn't really into the airplane
stuff, but after seeing him (Christian Moullec, a Frenchman) with the geese
tagging along, she comes along on a regular basis now. Hoping to see him
again of coarse. A couple of years ago she had seen a movie called "Fly away
home" and thought the flying scenes with the geese were all fake :-)

I also have to rectify my statement that the NH-90 in the pictures was just
a testbed dressed up to look Dutch. It turns out to be the real thing. Now I
just don't understand why it has to take another two years for the factory
to deliver it :-(.
