Looks very familiar <grin>. Should be, I was in the 1st of the 81st
Artillery, a Pershing battalion, in 1971. Many urban legends
surrounded the yield on the war heads, as high as 15 mega tons. In
reality, yields varied from as low as 50 kilo tons to 150-200 KT
around the time I was there, to 400 KT later. How anyone could
possibly believe that it was possible to fight the Warsaw Pact
tanks with battlefield nukes with yields that high without causing
WWII is beyond me, but then, this was also the waning days of MAD.
